Edgardo Daniel Truffat

Mr. Truffat has focused his professional practice on counseling and assistance in commercial matters during litigation to companies and businessmen (basically pre-bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court preventive settlements, corporate disputes and drawing-up of contracts related to the latter).
He started his professional career in the Judicial Power as Secretary in Commercial matters, then proceeding with his practice at the Law Firm Chehtman. There he met Mr. Gustavo Naveira, and in the year 1995 they became partners giving origin to the Law Firm "Naveira, Truffat & Associates". He was also a cabinet advisor at the Undersecretariat of Justice and at the Secretariat of Technical and Legislative Matters of the Ministry of Justice.
Mr. Truffat graduated with honors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in the year 1984, and obtained a Doctorate in Law and Social Sciences at the National University of Córdoba in the year 2006. He has been professor at the law schools of several national and private universities, sometime as invited professor. For the last ten years he has only been engaged in teaching at postgraduate courses.
Mr. Truffat is a habitual speaker in subjects related to Bankruptcy and Corporate Law. He has published more than 200 papers on the specialty and he is the author of "The Conversion of Bankruptcy into Pre-Bankruptcy Proceedings" (there is a second updated edition), "Admission Procedures to the Liabilities within the Composition with Creditors" and the "New out-of-court Preventive Settlements" (there is also a second updated edition).
